Why can'tI execute a binary from a USB flash card?
Recently, when I plugged in USB flash drive or card reader, the "Safely Remove Hardware" list never show them anymore. It only shows the plugged infra-red device. Anyone who can help me to solve this problem? I would like these devices showed on the list again or otherwise I don't know how to safely remove them.

It seems I need drivers for 98 but not for 2000; why? Does Win 2000 have a generic driver which works with all makes and models of this type of device or does it have a collection of drivers? That is a bug, then, as the driver is supposed to ignore what it does not understand. Have you tried to Rem'ing the drivers one by one to find which one is the problem driver? It is my USB flash media that is failing to load. Besides my mouse, these are the only USB devices that work with the present USB drivers.
